Our puppies and dogs are always:
*Soscialized with children, other dogs and assortment of animals.
*Imprinted on goats, chickens, ducks, peafowl, guineas and turkeys, which
makes the transition to bonding to other animals much easier and gives
them a huge head start on becoming effective, trustworthy, working dogs.
We provide bio-sensor exersizes to all puppies from 3 to 12 days old to
stimulate development of their nervous system as well as improve
cardiovascular performance, more efficient adrenal glands and greater
resistance to stress and disease.
*We breed for correct conformation and long lifespan and healthy, working dogs.
*We breed for intelligent, hard working dogs with excellent LGD dispositions.
*Training- While we by no means claim that our pups come trained on livestock, we do a
lot of work with them to start their "basic" livestock and behavioral training. By the time
most pups are picked up, they have had an excellent start with livestock. We do put many
hours into working with them from about 4 weeks to 10 weeks old as they are puppies and
enjoy "playing" with livestock and testing their surroundings. This is a very important factor
when choosing your new LGD. If you are considering a pup that has not been exposed to
and raised with livestock (and had formal correction when needed) on how to behave with
these animals), they may have a difficult time learning how to behave with livestock,
sometimes making them unsuitable Livestock Protectors and even dangerous to your
livestock.
* We have excellent references from our customers, several of whom are dog trainers
themselves. We are more than happy to provide references upon request.
We offer pups about once or twice per year. We are absolutely not a puppy mill and our primary reason for breeding these
dogs is to produce worthy animals to protect our own herd and offer the some opportunity to other working farms,
ranches and families. Locally we have had a very high demand for these pups due to the many people in the Pacific
Northwest that have farms and predator problems. We currently have four working female dogs and two working males.
Our females will not be bred more than once every two years, and will only have a couple of litters during their lifetime. For
these reasons, can not offer a lot of puppies, or have puppies year round or on demand. We do have a waiting list and we
always offer pups to the people on that list first prioriy. Our pups are not raised in kennel, nor are our adult dogs. The
pups are raised in a barn with livestock and when they are old enough, they are free to roam an outside yard as well with
some of the larger livestock. Our puppies have gone on to be highly successful protectors of homes, people, goats,
sheep, llamas, cattle, alpacas, poultry and mink.
How much do our pups cost? In 2012 the price is $300 for males and $350 for females. Next litter due December, will be
ready for new homes in late Feb 2012. UPDATE- 12 PUPPIES BORN ON DEC 24th, WE HAVE A COUPLE STILL

What are some benefits of
buying a puppy from us
as opposed to another breeder?

They are taught very
young that chasing

poultry is
unacceptable.

Tundra again at 85 lbs
and just a few months
old. We feed our pups
and dogs goat milk. This
is an excellent
supplement to their diet.
Do I need a Livestock Protection Dog? If you or your neighbors have experienced any type of livestock predatation or
sightings and if you raise any type of animals or livestock, you will most likely need some sort of livestock protection.
Is a LGD the best choice for me? If you have close neighbors, a small property or if you do not have the time to help train a
pup, they may not be the best option for you. LGD's are one of the most effective methods of livestock protection but they
can be very vocal dogs and are for the most part are nocturnal because that is when most predators are more active.
Will you help me learn how to care for and train my puppy and offer other support about these type of dogs? Absolutely!
While we do not claim to be experts, we are somewhat experienced and are happy to provide answers to anything we can
help with, support, literature and resources to books and articles that specialize in LGD's.
QUESTIONS MOST PEOPLE HAVE ABOUT LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN DOGS
We do require an adoption application be filled out by potential new homes before placing you on the waiting list. This is to help ensure that
the puppies are going to be a good match for their potential new home and to help make sure that the new home is very pleased with their new
puppy. We mkae it a mission that all of our animals, including our puppies, never end up in a rescue or shelter. Our adoption application helps
us to foresee any problems before the puppies go to new homes.
We also are usually willing to take back any pups, even several years later, if something happens and you are no longer able to keep or care
for the dog.
We do not microchip pups unless requested by the purchaser to do so.
All puppies come with a health guarantee.
There is no commitment to be on our waiting list. Once your name comes up, we will contact you with what is available and you have 24 hours
to let us know if you would like to put a deposit down and reserve a certain puppy. If we do not hear back from you within 24 hours, we will
send out notification to the next person on the list. Sometimes our waiting list is long, sometimes it moves along quickly.
Please email us if you would like to be placed on the waiting list for a pup and we will send you an adoption application.

NWODGA Conference in late February 2012
